Malvern Exhibition of Contemporary Art

Bare Hill

Jaime Jackson

The Celtic name Moel-bryn means Bare-Hill a later spelling was Maelfern. Malvern Water is world famous, the Queen’s favorite Water, Malvern is visited and often painted for its beauty and in the C19th for the water’s healing qualities.

For this installation the artist has copied the dimensions of the acrylic ‘the Beacon’ by the artist Ian Shearman part of the exhibition The Malvern Hills - a source of inspiration at Foal Yard Gallery, Bransford, Worcester.
Bare Hill was made possible by the donation of Malvern Water labels by Cola Enterprises in Colwall.
