Malvern Exhibition of Contemporary Art

MECA 2009

MECA is an exciting new venture presented by the recently formed
W-CA (Worcestershire Contemporary Artists) to transform empty shops in Great Malvern town centre into temporary spaces for contemporary visual art.

From July to the end of October 2009, MECA will bring colour and vitality to Malvern with a programme of shop-front exhibitions of artworks, installations and artist led discussions.  By bringing art out of the gallery and into the community we want to engage with a larger more diverse group of people, challenging passers by to stop and think about the creative use of these empty retail stores.

By using empty shop fronts we want to help revitalise the town centre and encourage more visitors to Malvern in these difficult economic times.

The MECA 2009 programme is being constantly expanded so please refer to our latest news section below for the latest updates.
